What is a STEM or STEAM toy?
STEM toys are not just any educational toy. They are toys that promote learning in 4 major disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. You may have also seen some toys with the STEAM or STREAM logo, as it is not a standard concept, some also include arts (in the case of STEAM) or robotics (STREAM). In any case, all three concepts refer to the same philosophy.
